Ok Sami and I got these shishito peppers and lemon aioli from one of our favorite restaurants in Austin and we couldn’t stop thinking about them all week so we have been trying to recreate that meal a few times and we have found a pretty delicious aioli recipe!

You can dip anything from shishito peppers to chips or carrots or fries or broccoli in this and i promise it will be worth it.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Garlic

  • Lemon

  • Kosher salt (any salt probably works but kosher salt is just what we have)

  • Spicy mustard (optional)

  • 2 eggs

  • Olive oil

WHAT TO DO:

  • Mince 4 cloves of garlic

  • Add a teaspoon of salt on top of the garlic

  • Mix those two together until you have a little garlic/salt paste (this step helps the salt not be weird later…

  • Pop that in a blender with about 2 tablespoons of lemon juice (more if you love lemon)

  • Add a little lemon zest for some flavor

  • Add spicy mustard at this point if you want to spice it up a bit (optional)

  • Add ONE WHOLE EGG

  • Add ONE EGG YOLK

  • Start with about ¾ cup olive oil and blend… if you’re not loving the consistency, add more oil until it's just right!

DIP AWAY FRIENDS!
